Review of Men's Stainless Steel Black Dial

This is a very nice watch. My wife got it for me for Christmas and its pretty much exactly what I wanted in a watch. The face size is pretty standard, maybe slightly larger than normal. I have somewhat small wrists but it doesn't look too big on me at all. Keeps time flawlessly, but that's to be expected. One thing I wasn't aware of when we ordered the watch was the band is semi-rigid. The band doesn't lay out flat and doesn't have a full range of flex to it but I can't see any negatives towards this. The only complaint I have at all about this watch was during the first couple of weeks I noticed it getting caught on my arm hair from time to time, but I don't notice this much at all anymore. The watch comes in a very nice black case and was well protected. Overall I'm very satisfied with this watch.

This watch appears to be beautifully made -- but it is sportier than I expected, NOT suitable to wear with a suit. I learned that Swiss Army does have a few smaller watches for very small wrists -- but I have not seen them offered on Amazon and this watch is unquestionably too big for a petite wrist.

A good watch is something you should buy based on a number of factors. Durability, looks, quality, style and materials. As you can see, some of these factors are personal preferences, so what follows is my opinion based on some of these intangibles.

First off, quality, materials. Swiss Army has a long held reputation for making fine, durable watches. This one carries those craft genetics. Attention is paid to every detail and to be blunt-it runs like a swiss watch-because it is.

A word about the style preference factor. I purchased this as a gift for my wife. She is active, wears casual clothing, tends to be sporty and has a real practical streak. She loves this watch for daily wear. Never puts it on for events or going out for dinner.

Will you like it? Perhaps, if understated eloquence and quality appeal in a wrist watch. I was taking a chance with a purchase like this, a watch being a personal thing-like other jewelery. Having a good sense of my better half's tastes made this a pretty easy choice.
