Review of Nautica Women's Spettacolare Chronograph Watch #N13536L

Being Nautica mainly and foremost a clothing company, I had no huge expectation about the quality and craftsmanship of the watch. Nevertheless, since it is eye catching I decided to give it a try and bought it as a present for my girlfriend. The design is very nice and modern and I am very pleased with it. However it has a few issues. The hour and minute main hands could have been in a different color which would give them some contrast against the color of the dial and thus make them more visible (major big rule in watch design....ooooops). Fortunately my girlfriend has a 20/20 eyesight. To me they kind of get lost against the background dial's color.

Another thing is that in general the different hands of the watch do not coincide accurately with the marks on the dial, giving to it a less than desirable good quality feeling which as a watch collector I certainly appreciate. However, for most people this won't be an issue.

Keep in mind that the color of the strap which in Amazon's web site look's red is not red, it is really orange. This problem has happened to me with other watches I have bought through Amazon web site, and I can't really understand why they change the color. I have yet to find if they also have some other color straps which could be nice to have to change every now and than to give the watch different looks. In any case, the orange strap looks fine.

Bottom line: It is a great looking sporty and casual watch for a woman having in consideration its price. However, do not expect the type of craftsmanship you can find in same affordable price watches built by specialized and reputed watch companies such as Seiko or Citizen.
