Review of Casio G-Shock Tough Solar Watch G7000-1V

Some things you should know.

1. My watch lasted 1 week past the warranty.

2. If the watch gets too much light or gets too warm it goes bad. You can't tell if it needs recharging because the power gauge stops working. The only way to know the power is low is if it resets and looses all its data.

3. Adding phone numbers and other info via TWO buttons is a long and painful process.

4. When the watch goes nuts and looses all of your phone numbers, time and other settings, you become a little nuts yourself.

Review of Casio Women's White Baby-G Sweet Poison Watch #BG1221-7V

I have over 10 Baby G watches and I really like them but I have one problem with this watch. The display is really light and difficult to read. You have to tilt the watch in just the right position in order to read the time. I basically use this watch for work and when I need the time, I need it quick. Other than that this watch is similiar to my other Baby G's. Good quality, 24 military time, and stylish.

Review of Casio Women's Baby-G G-MS Sweet Poison White Watch #MSG161C-7V

The watch isn't all that bad.However, it does have some faults.As said before, the screen is a little hard to read, but it doesn't bother me too much.I'd rather think of it as something unique that many other watches don't have :) Another bad feature is that the watch's alarms only last for 10 seconds. Even if there is snooze for every 5 minutes, it's only 10 seconds long.

But the watch is very pretty in general with the nice and shiny stainless steel alternated with the white, plastic band.Although some may think the watch is overall too large for the female, it's smaller than many other typical ladies' baby-g watches (the gel type watches).

If you are looking for another watch just as pretty as this, but without the same band and a better screen, you can look at the MSG160L-7V product.

Review of Casio Women's Baby-G Sweet Poison Dance Watch #BG2100-8

The picture gives the appearance of a black band and a brownish/bronze plastic face. In fact the band is metallic goldish and the face is gold colored metal. It looks more "blinged" out than I expected. I feel like I have a pimp watch. The features and display are fine, it just doesn't look the way I thought it would.

Review of Casio Mens G Shock Atomic Solar Watch

I bought this watch for my husband. He has a dresser drawer full of watches that need batteries. Some don't keep very good time either.
This Casio watch is Solar powered so it NEVER needs a new battery. It has a Atomic Clock setting that receives a signal 4 times a day from the National Atomic Clock in Ft. Collins Co. so it is ALWAYS perfect time. Accurate to 1x1,000,000 of a second a day.! WOW!!

Great deal on a great watch! Oh, I almost forgot...showers with it on too! Good to 600 feet deep! Shock,Water resistant and Solar power with Atomic timekeeping. What the heck eh?

Review of Casio G-Shock Atomic Solar Watch GWM5600-1

You'd think with the "5600" suffix they would have just taken the venerable DW5600 and just added solar and atomic time - but they had to go and mess with it.In short, the watch has a couple "Huh?" moments that make you wonder what the designers were thinking:

Countdown timer is only an hour, not 24 hours - but the stopwatch goes for 999 hours.Huh?
Doesn't show time in all modes.(nice to have in the 5600)
No second time zone.(to be fair, the new 5600s dropped this too)
Can't set countdown in seconds, but it counts down in 1/10 seconds?(can't use it for interval training, this irked me the most)
No auto-repeat of timer.(same as above)

Plus I hear that the batteries in these solar models don't last any longer than if you bought a 5600 and just used regular ole dimestore lithiums - which are like a fifth the cost.Note that I didn't ding it for this, but go do your own research on how long the batteries really last if you are buying this in order to not have to buy batteries again.People have had 5600s running on their original batteries for ten years.

I sent this one back and bought a DW5600E.If the GW5000 turns out OK I might get one of those.

I really like this watch because it has a good design and a strong build. It's not hard to pick up on how to use the watch - very easy if you've had a baby-G watch before. The cool thing about this watch is that you can enable to it to automatically light up when you look at it from a 15 degree angle!!! I thought that feature was just COOL!

Review of Casio Men's Sea Pathfinder Solar Atomic Watch #SPW1000-2V

This is an amazing watch, having more features than I will probably ever use.Atomic accuracy and never needing to change the battery were my primary requirements when I was looking for the perfect watch.I found those plus many more in the Casio SPW1000-2V.

Pros:I originally was concerned about the color of this watch and I couldnt bring myself to buy one of the black pathfinder watches that had a altimeter since I do scuba dive on occasion, and would never see the need for an altimeter.

I am very happy that I chose this, the color has more of a grey hue to it than the amazon stock photo has and the color on Casio's web site doesn't seem to do it justice either.

The watch itself is the largest watch I have ever worn, although it is light enough that you don't notice while wearing it.The viewable portion of the watch face is about the size of a fifty-cent piece.The photos that I have seen don't show a reference to scale the size.

Even though I live in the midwest, the watch updated itself while sitting in the middle of a 2nd floor bedroom, with a "3 of 3" signal strength.You can manually force an update with the Fort Collins time server if needed.

I use the auto light feature, which seems to place a large drain on the battery.The auto light comes on while driving when making turns.I placed the watch in a window for 3 hours and the battery went from "M" to "H".

Cons:The temperature is artifically inflated from body heat while wearing the watch, but it appears to be accurate while the watch is not being worn, albiet not practical.

Other Thoughts:I haven't had a chance to use the depth gage and compare it against my dive computer.I would assume that it will never be a replacement for a dive computer, but I think the dive log feature is something that I am going to use.

Glad I bought this watch.
Had it for about a month so far and am very happy with it.
Comfortable, easy to read, durable(I windsurf and swim with it), used as my alarm clock every morning.
Highly recommended, especially for the low price here on Amazon, compared to department stores.

Review of Casio Midsize G-Shock Tough Culture Limited Edition Solar Digital Watch #G5500MC-5

While I was waiting for the watch to come in, I saw it on sale for $130 at a local Macy's.

The watch doesn't take that long to charge. I placed it between the blinds in my window before I went to sleep, and I woke with a fully charged G-shock. Haha! Get it?

Seriously, the watch looks great and it's not as bulky as I expected. It goes with most outfits. For me it's a trendy but modest watch that I can wear just about anywhere. The lighting in the picture is darker than the watch actually looks in normal light in case anyone is wondering.

Yes the buttons are stiff. If you're somebody's track coach I wouldn't recommend this one, but other than that, this is one of the coolest of the G-shock classics. My only gripe is that I wish it had the atomic receiver.

Review of Casiio Women's White Futurist Alarm Chronograph LCD Digital Watch #LA2001-7A

I ordered this item in black and I got the complete oposite: white. I was promised to receive the exchange in two weeks and so far nothing has happened. Am I happy with it? NO! Lack of efficency and professional approach. I will never buy from this outfit again and I feel bad that Amazon who I have respected for its business conduct has such outfit in its payroll. My coment has nothing to do with this watch per se.
I am still waiting for a response.

This watch is extremely large. I read the review that said it was big, but was still surprised. It's easily as large as a man's watch and, although it looks nice, the size negates the beauty. I'd love to have the same watch in a woman's size.
