Review of Dress Watch with Leather Strap

I am very disappointed with this watch, it's not what I was expecting.I've had "easy readers" before and they have very large dials with big numbers.The face on this watch is only slightly larger than a regular ladies watch.And the photo of it shows it with a leather watch band, and the main description says leather band.But if you read in the fine print, it comes with a "croco-leather" band...which means cheap, plastic looking, fake crocodile material.There's a reason that none of the watch dealers give dimensions on their ads...it's called deception.

Bought this as a birthday present for my dad. It was close to the date and it came on time, but be careful. This appears to be a different seller, and it is through amazon, but the seller I bought from on Amazon sent me the wrong watch (a lesser model) and charged me the price of this watch. When they realized it was a mistake after being contacted they refunded me the difference, and my dad liked the one he ended up getting, but I really did want to get him this one. Maybe next year.

I'm on my second defective watch of this style, having just exchanged the first one.The first watch worked fine for a couple of months, and then the date stopped advancing.Sometimes I could get the date to advance by pulling the stem all the way out and adjusting the time, and sometimes the date wouldn't budge except when the stem was halfway out.Once reset, the date might advance for a couple of days before stopping again, or it might not advance at all - it was hit or miss.The watch did always keep time, and the Indiglo feature always worked.I exchanged it for a new watch of the same style, and this second watch stops every night at 11:15.My guess is that this is when the date starts to advance.When I wake up in the morning I can advance the time and the date forward and reset it by pulling the stem all the way out, and then it will tell the time during the day but it will usually stop again the next evening at 11:15.Once it stopped at 2:30 or somewhere thereabouts, but it usually stops at 11:15.Again, the Indiglo feature works fine.I like the styling and big numbers, but having a watch that doesn't tell time kind of defeats the purpose.

My wife loves this watch. Her hands are in and out of water everyday on her job and because the watch is waterproof she doesn't have to worry about it. She loves the comfort of the band ... it doesn't irritate her wrist at all. Especially she loves the angle that the watch head itself sits on the band ... she doesn't even have to turn her wrist to see the time.

wanted to get a VT watch for a friend and needed it to be big/bold, so i liked this one right away.i couldn't believe how expensive some of the VT watches were and was afraid of getting ripped off.This watch was under $30 and it shows.The band is super-cheap looking (plastic or rubber?not what an adult would choose) but the rest of the watch is ok (it is big and bold).i should have spent more and gotten a better looking/higher quality watch.

I have had two of these watches.The first one started losing time within about 3 months.I took it in and had the battery replaced, which did not fix the problem.

So, I got customer service to send me another one.While this one kept time okay, the date on it changed at 9:00.Not 12:00, not 1:00 or 3:00, but 9:00!What the heck?

Needless to say, I returned it as well and will never purchase another Timex watch again.

Review of Timex Expedition Outdoor Metal Field (Full)

I purchased this watch hoping for a basic timepiece that would provide me with at least a couple of years of dependable service. The price was right, the watch was handsome looking (based on Amazon's photo), and I was excited about using the "Indiglo" night-light feature.

The watch arrived and I was pleased with how it looked, though I had hoped the watch face would be larger. It's definitely a man's watch, though my subjective feeling is that the face should be somewhat larger. The instructions were certainly simple enough, and I soon had the watch set up and ready to show off. The best feature "was" the aforementioned Indiglo night-light, which is activated by pressing the watch's crown in.

I went out that evening to join a couple of friends for drinks at a local watering hole. I showed them the watch and illustrated the Indiglo feature. The both shared my sentiments concerning the watch's design and thought the Indiglo lighting was exceptional. I went to the restroom at some juncture during the night and washed my hands. Immediately afterwards, the Indiglo light refused to come on when activated, and still will not some nine days later.

The watch still looks great and the time seems to be keeping pace, but I'm still disappointed that the Indiglo light would extinguish itself forever after a single hand washing. The watch is evidently capable of being submerged to a depth of 50 meters, so I can't imagine why this would have happened.

Review of Men's Dog-Tag Watch with Chain and Carabiner - Silvertone

I love whimsical knickknacks. I love the simple charm of analog time pieces. I hate wearing a wrist watch and prefer instead to carry it in my pocket. This handsome silvertone dog-tag watch with a carabiner clip-on was the perfect objectification of my fancies - or so I thought.

It happened one day when I pulled it out of my pocket and saw to my horror a star-shaped crack in the middle of the glass face! I really couldn't imagine having inadventently bumped it hard enough to put a crack on it. I had been carrying wrist watches in my pocket for years and had never put a knick or crack on the glass face of a single watch.

This watch has a lot going for it. It is a watch with Japanese movement (however, the outer casing is most likely made in China), it is well-designed and attractive, and it has a durable and corrosion-resistant aluminum body.

I don't fault this watch for the mishap and have instead rated it 5 stars just so I don't skew the rating of an otherwise wonderful product. However, I can't help but surmise that perhaps the glass faces on these watches aren't very resilient.

Conclusion
----------
I would caution you to the fact that the glass face on this watch might be a little prone to breakage. Barring that, the Men's Dog-Tag Watch with Chain and Carabiner is an attractive watch that keeps very good time.

I have used a similar watch (Arctic Blue) for several years.I love it.When I saw the same style in purple...I had to get it.I have been wearing this watch for a week and it is as good as the last one. They are easy on and off (like a bracelet) and very comfortable to wear.

I am always knocking my watches into walls (yes, I'm a klutz) and other than some scratches to the plastic it is fine.I have worn it in the pool and when I wash dishes and it seems to resist water as advertised.The battery in my old watch died after 2 years and it only cost $5 to replace at my local watch shop (and I don't live in a big burg).

I am by no means a fashion setter.However, I have gotten many compliments on this watch (and my old one).I have had baristas at Starbucks remark on it while I was driving through.

Great watch, poor band: Mako 788
This is a great watch but it has a poor band. I sent mine in twice and they replaced it twice (with the $8.50 processing fee each time). It broke again so I bought a new watch (yes, I liked it that much). The new band on the new watch lasted three months and broke!

Freestyle no longer sells this model. I wonder why...

A great watch isnt much use if it wont stay on your wrist! I am now wearing another brand.

Timex advertised the iControl as a crown set watch.That's the only iControl part that was easily for my grandfather to set.The alarm and other functions required 4 buttons to set up and is very hard for someone who has hard time with digital stuff anyways.

Review of Men's Stainless Steel Black Dial

This is a very nice watch. My wife got it for me for Christmas and its pretty much exactly what I wanted in a watch. The face size is pretty standard, maybe slightly larger than normal. I have somewhat small wrists but it doesn't look too big on me at all. Keeps time flawlessly, but that's to be expected. One thing I wasn't aware of when we ordered the watch was the band is semi-rigid. The band doesn't lay out flat and doesn't have a full range of flex to it but I can't see any negatives towards this. The only complaint I have at all about this watch was during the first couple of weeks I noticed it getting caught on my arm hair from time to time, but I don't notice this much at all anymore. The watch comes in a very nice black case and was well protected. Overall I'm very satisfied with this watch.

Review of Casio Men's Sea Pathfinder Solar Atomic Watch #SPW1000-2V

This is an amazing watch, having more features than I will probably ever use.Atomic accuracy and never needing to change the battery were my primary requirements when I was looking for the perfect watch.I found those plus many more in the Casio SPW1000-2V.

Pros:I originally was concerned about the color of this watch and I couldnt bring myself to buy one of the black pathfinder watches that had a altimeter since I do scuba dive on occasion, and would never see the need for an altimeter.

I am very happy that I chose this, the color has more of a grey hue to it than the amazon stock photo has and the color on Casio's web site doesn't seem to do it justice either.

The watch itself is the largest watch I have ever worn, although it is light enough that you don't notice while wearing it.The viewable portion of the watch face is about the size of a fifty-cent piece.The photos that I have seen don't show a reference to scale the size.

Even though I live in the midwest, the watch updated itself while sitting in the middle of a 2nd floor bedroom, with a "3 of 3" signal strength.You can manually force an update with the Fort Collins time server if needed.

I use the auto light feature, which seems to place a large drain on the battery.The auto light comes on while driving when making turns.I placed the watch in a window for 3 hours and the battery went from "M" to "H".

Cons:The temperature is artifically inflated from body heat while wearing the watch, but it appears to be accurate while the watch is not being worn, albiet not practical.

Other Thoughts:I haven't had a chance to use the depth gage and compare it against my dive computer.I would assume that it will never be a replacement for a dive computer, but I think the dive log feature is something that I am going to use.

This Nike Presto Duo watch is perfect for sports or casual wear.I purchsed this model as a replacement for a stolen red and black model.I get a lot of compliments on the watch.It's very original!It's also light and comfortable to wear at work, at the gym, or out with friends.The feature I like most is the plastic bangle band.It doesn't feel uncomfortable when I sweat at the gym and it doesn't slip off when I play tennis.It's very secure but easy to put on or take off.

The model I purchased is a women's petite.I am very petite and this size fits me well but it is very small!If you want a loose bangle feel or if you have larger wrists, you'll definately want to buy a women's medium or larger.

I bought this watch for my boyfriend as a gift.In the 6 months since he has received it, both arms have been pulled off from the watch face.I do not suggest this watch not necessarily because of the poor quality, but the cost.It can be expected that watches, especially plastic and rubber ones would break in this way, but one should not expect this from nike, or for the price paid.I'd suggest ironman for a good sturdy watch, or if nike is your thing, get a watch that does not have the separate piece arms.

Review of Casio Midsize G-Shock Tough Culture Limited Edition Solar Digital Watch #G5500MC-5

While I was waiting for the watch to come in, I saw it on sale for $130 at a local Macy's.

The watch doesn't take that long to charge. I placed it between the blinds in my window before I went to sleep, and I woke with a fully charged G-shock. Haha! Get it?

Seriously, the watch looks great and it's not as bulky as I expected. It goes with most outfits. For me it's a trendy but modest watch that I can wear just about anywhere. The lighting in the picture is darker than the watch actually looks in normal light in case anyone is wondering.

Yes the buttons are stiff. If you're somebody's track coach I wouldn't recommend this one, but other than that, this is one of the coolest of the G-shock classics. My only gripe is that I wish it had the atomic receiver.

Review of Freestyle Men's Rockaway Polyurethane Watch #FS712011

This watch has gray display numbers on a black background (as shown in the picture), which I am not crazy about. I think black numbers on a grey background (like most digital watches) is easier to read. I think Freestyle may have designed the watch this way because it IS very easy to read in very bright sunlight. Or, maybe it is just supposed to look cool.

Otherwise, this watch is pretty nice. All of the plastics and rubbers are high quality. The crystal is very clear and looks tough and scratch-resistant. This watch does not look cheap, and in fact looks pretty high end for a sporty digital watch. The watch and band are wider than normal, without being ridiculous. The watch face is about 1 3/4" wide.

It is fairly easy and intuitive to set the watch and use the different features. The backlight is blue and works well for reading the time in the dark.

If you can live with the dark display and would like an oversized watch style, this is pretty good choice for under $50.

I have only had the watch a couple of days, so I can't comment on long term durability. However, it looks like it will hold up well.
